Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest

Are you ready to take your script to the next level? Final Draft is currently accepting submissions for their Big Break Screenwriting Contest.

Grand prize winners receive $10,000 in cash, an iPad, career coaching, meetings with renowned Hollywood screenwriters and literary managers, and much more.

The early bird deadline is June 22nd, regular deadline is September 21st with an extended deadline on October 19th and last chance on November 9th. Fees apply.

MACRO x The Blacklist Feature Screenwriter Incubator

MACRO and The Black List have teamed with Warner Bros. Pictures to launch The MACRO x The Black List Feature Screenwriter Incubator, a new initiative that offers writers of color the opportunity to develop a film idea to pitch to a WB executive.

Their mission is to discover and empower storytellers with the proper creative tools, resources, and access needed to help launch their careers.

Interested writers are encouraged to submit a feature film script for consideration in this opportunity by August 1, 2021. Fee waiver application deadline is April 19th. Waivers will only be offered to 500 writers by MACRO.

2021 Allstate Foundation Film Fellowship

One Love and The Allstate Foundation are teaming up to offer young filmmakers the opportunity to create short films that uplift underrepresented voices and explore how we learn to love better.

Three fellows will each receive a grant of $15,000 to produce their film, as well as master classes with top filmmakers, screenwriters, and producers to help bring their vision to life.

This fellowship is open to people of color and/or LGTBQ+ filmmakers in the United States who are between the ages of 18 and 25 by the date of submission (April 30, 2021).
