APPLE MACOS INFORMATION - DO NOT UPGRADE JUST YET! PLEASE READ THE COMPATIBILITY LIST FIRST BEFORE UPGRADING YOUR MAC

DO NOT UPGRADE TO MACOS 11 BIG SUR

Apple released macOS 11 Big Sur on November 12th, 2020. While the operating system upgrade is currently available, do not upgrade unless all of your music production devices and software are officially deemed compatible by their respective manufacturers.

Please check below the list of which apps won’t work with Big Sur:

Turn Off Auto Updates

We recommend you turn off auto-updates on your Mac until Catalina has been tested with your program’s software. You may still continue to receive notifications to update to the new macOS, but please resist the urge to move forward with the installation as it can affect how your software functions.

DO NOT UPGRADE TO MACOS 12 MONTEREY

Apple’s macOS 12 Monterey is the latest version of macOS and was announced for official public release on October 25. We are excited to start using the new software but, at the same time, are extremely cautious. Pro audio and music production users probably should not upgrade until all of their respective third-party software and hardware are officially supported by their respective manufacturers.

Please check below the list of which apps won’t work with Monterey:
