Applicants must be a full time LAFS student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Student Advising Hub and Offices

Purpose or role of the position within the organization:

To give a roadmap to new international students as they navigate college.

To create student programming that celebrates diversity and inclusion.

Duties and responsibilities associated with the position and how they relate to the purpose or role:

    • Assist with planning and execution of Student Advising activities (Multicultural Celebration, etc.)
    • Organize on-campus social activities for international students  
    • Act as an informed resource and provide peer support for international students navigating LAFS
    • Collaborate with staff, faculty, and students when required
    • Attend all events hosted by Student Advising
    • Assist with administrative duties associated with event planning and organizing program materials
    • Cover the Student Hub as needed

General qualifications for the position:

• Completion of at least 4 terms in one of our degree programs
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated record of reliability, creativity, and leadership
• Capacity to lead discussions, team activities, and effectively interact with diverse populations
• Maintain a GPA of 2.5, remain in good standing, and have a clear judicial history
