Special Uses Permits
Here is some additional information:
Forest permits may take up to 20 FULL business days to process an application (depending on size & scope of the project. The processing of the application will not begin until the complete application, map, Covid-19 Mitigation Plan, letters of authorization or dual permits and correct insurance are submitted all together. Permits with drones, animals, simulated vehicle accidents, closure requests, special effects requests, etc., may require additional processing time. If you have questions about how long your application might take, please contact the Angeles National Forest.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS:
One (1) Million General Liability Insurance is required, submitted on ACORD 25 2009 form.
The certificate and the endorsement page must be submitted with the filming application, and the certificate of insurance must add the following as additionally insured in the certificate holder box and on the endorsement page of the certificate:

The following clause MUST appear on the insurance certificate (COI) in the “description of operations” section AND on the endorsement page:
“IT IS UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED THAT THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, U.S.D.A. FOREST SERVICE IS ADDITIONALLY INSURED SOLELY IN RESPECT TO LIABILITY ARISING FROM OPERATIONS OF THE NAMED INSURED.”
In addition, the following 30-day clause is also mandatory and shall be shown in verbatim on the Certificate of Insurance as well as in the insurance policy:
“It is understood and agreed that the coverage under this policy will not be changed or its provisions changed or deleted before thirty (30) days written notice to the:
