Purpose or role of the position within the organization:

To give a roadmap to new international students as they navigate college.

Duties and responsibilities associated with the position and how they relate to the purpose or role:

Partner with first-term international students to organize on and off-campus activities and offer a social program that facilitates networking with fellow students, staff, and faculty.

The Student Ambassador will also support academic coaches plan extra-curricular activities as will as cover the Student Hub when needed.

General qualifications for the position:

Applicant must have been enrolled at LAFS for at least 1 semester; have a 3.0 GPA or higher; be familiar with LAFS Student Code of Conduct and have a positive attitude. One letter of recommendation from staff or faculty is required.
