Job Description

Location where the student will perform his/her duties:

The Los Angeles Film School Career Development Office, B2 Building

Purpose or role of the position within the organization:

To assist the Compliance Manager and team within the Career Development Department in their mission to document and organize placement data/files to support accreditation requirements.

Duties and responsibilities associated with the position and how they relate to the purpose or role:

· Converting numerous paper records into electronic records (scanning).
· Internet and social media research projects.
· Assisting the Compliance Manager with Excel spreadsheets and populating data.
· Documenting event attendance in Department database.
· Populating and organizing team calendar.
· Renaming digital files for consistency.
· Filing, faxing and/or copying documents.
· Production support for Career Development events.
· Special projects as needed.

General qualifications for the position:

· Must have some Administrative experience.
· Self-starter with the ability to maintain a positive attitude.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Proficient in technology and social media formats.
· Proficiency with PC and Mac (MS Excel, Word, Keynote); Ability to learn new programs as required.
· Ability to effectively communicate with staff as well as a diverse student population.
· Ability to work well under pressure, and handle shifting priorities.
· Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team.
· General Office Skills.
