The Beguiled

Bridesmaids

Written by Diablo Cody, also known as Brook Busey-Maurio, This coming-of-age film tells the story of an off-beat young woman faced with an unplanned pregnancy and the choices she makes for the unborn child. 

Lady Bird

In 2002, an artistically inclined seventeen-year-old girl comes of age in Sacramento, California. Written and Directed by Greta Gerwig

Little Women

Written and Directed by Greta Gerwig.  Jo March reflects back and forth on her life, telling the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women, each determined to live life on her own terms.

Lost in Translation

A faded movie star and a neglected young woman form an unlikely bond after crossing paths in Tokyo. Written and Directed by Sofia Coppola 

Mean Girls

Written by 30 Rock’s Tina Fey. Cady Heron is a hit with The Plastics, the A-list girl clique at her new school until she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels, the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George.

The Piano

Directed and Written by Jane Campion. In the mid-19th century, a mute woman is sent to New Zealand along with her young daughter and prized piano for an arranged marriage to a wealthy landowner but is soon lusted after by a local worker on the plantation.

Zero Dark Thirty

A chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the September 2001 attacks, and his death at the hands of the Navy S.E.A.L.s Team 6 in May 2011. Directed by Katherine Bigelow
